Silvermine Homestead Graves
This is a relatively small gravesite located on the Silvermine Farm. It lies near the old farm buildings, nestled beneath a small grove of tall pine trees, providing a secluded setting for the site. This is a quiet rural landscape surrounded by the natural fynbos and mountainous terrain of the Cape Peninsula. The presence of the pine trees offers shade and a sense of enclosure, contributing to the site’s serene and reflective atmosphere.
The cemetery at the farm has three marked graves that are found below a group of tall pine trees that are located near the old farm buildings. The gravesite belong to the previous owners of the Silvermine homestead and dates to the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Furthermore, the cemetery holds historical and cultural value as the resting place of the former owners of Silvermine Farm, dating from the late 1800s to early 1900s.
