Sable Sleepover Hide
Sable Sleepover Hide, situated approximately 10km from of Phalaborwa Gate, is a unique accommodation facility where guests can feel part of nature.
A bird hide by day, it transforms into a primitive overnight dwelling by night, where a select few can experience the Kruger National Park nightlife first hand. The hide overlooks the Sable Dam where an abundance of animals gather to drink. Hear the lion roar and the hippo grunt meters away from where you are sleeping and know this is a true African experience.

Allow about 30 minutes for the drive to the hide, however if you want to enjoy the game viewing possibilities give yourself more time!
Fauna & Flora
The Mooiplaas Ranger Section area that Tsendze falls in is known for its very large buffalo herds and many elephant bulls.
The area has been and still is, home to large tuskers and some of the more well known ones, now unfortunately dead and gone, were ‘Nshawu’, ‘Shilowa’ and ‘Mabarule’. A current tusker with rather impressive ivory is ‘Alexander’ who is often encountered on the main tarred route between TRC and Mopani Camp.
With its abundance of huge trees in the campsite TRC offers great birding opportunities right in camp and the surrounding area offers an interesting list of birds previously recorded.
