The Skukuza Rest Camp Main Gate in the Kruger National Park will be temporarily closed from Monday, 2 November 2026 until Friday, 4 December 2026 to allow for essential maintenance and repairs to the gate’s roof structure. A temporary camp entrance will be from the Hippo Circle Street (the road going to Skukuza Medical Doctor/Surgery), entering through AM Spa and Skukuza Safari Lodge.
Visitors are requested to follow directional signage and instructions from park staff to ensure a safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
The planned maintenance forms part of SANParks’ ongoing infrastructure management programme aimed at ensuring the safety, functionality and longevity of facilities within the Kruger National Park.
SANParks apologises for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause and appreciates the patience and cooperation of visitors, tourism partners and staff while these important improvement works are undertaken.
The project is expected to be completed by 4 December 2026, subject to weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances.
