Cape Town, SANParks – Table Mountain National Park Fire Management has deployed ground firefighting teams and aerial resources to combat a fire currently burning along the front face of Table Mountain.
For public safety, the Platteklip Gorge trail and Contour path across the front face of Table Mountain has been closed for today and tomorrow. SANParks rangers and the City of Cape Town Law Enforcement officials are on scene assisting with visior control. Visitors are urged to avoid the area and not proceed beyond the upper cable station until further notice.
