Two weeks ago we launched a brand new website, and we hope that you are loving the new clean and spacious look of the site, and finding all the info that you need.
“The main reason for the redesign was to make the site “responsive”, i.e. mobile-friendly. This means that it renders well on all main devices – laptops, tablets, and cell phones – while preserving the integrity and the appeal of the site. This is in alignment with latest technologies on the web. In addition, thanks to its enhanced information architecture and modern navigation features, it”s more flexible and user-friendly”, said Nedret Saidova, Senior Manager: Ebusiness.
As with any redesign, we are aware of the teething problems that were experienced, most of which have been resolved by now. Here are some of the features that are still in process of refinement and we appreciate your patience in this regard:
- Webcams: Some people have not been able to find the page where all four webcams (Addo, Nossob, Orpen and Satara) are displayed simultaneously. We are implementing a more apparent link. The page can be accessed at: www.sanparks.org/webcams/default.php
- Accommodation Availability: We are aware that when viewing accommodation availability, not all of the descriptions, images and information are displayed as in the past. We are rectifying the issue.
- Forum features: There are some styling issues which are being addressed.
Should you have any feedback you wish to submit regarding the new website, please complete our online form: www.sanparks.org/webmaster/contactform.php
Overall we hope you enjoy the benefits of the new site, and are greatly convenienced in interacting with it on all its levels of functionality.
