Media Release: The Table Mountain Cableway re-opens to the public!
Table Mountain Aerial Cableway has announced that operations will resume on Tuesday 20 May 2008, weather permitting.
Sabine Lehmann, CEO of the Table Mountain Cableway said that an intricate part of the Cableway’s motor needed replacing and the work had been completed by a Swiss cableway engineer. She also reported that all the necessary tests had been conducted.
“The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway has one of the best safety track records around the globe and we intend to maintain that standard. We look forward to welcoming visitors on the Cableway and only hope that the beautiful weather lasts a while longer,” said Lehmann.
