TMNP Park Manager, Paddy Gordon explained that rate increases are comprehensively considered and take into account all stakeholders before an official announcement is made. “Affordability of the favoured local destinations is critical and in this rate increase many of the picnic and braai sites sees no price increase this year.” The TMNP is obliged to manage the competing needs of all users and are engaged in a variety of projects to ensure that the park experience is retained and infrastructure remains available to all users.
The increase will be affected in the following manner:

The rate increases will also affect the My Green Card which will be priced at R110.00.
The TMNP My Green Card was introduced specifically for Cape Town residents. It offers 12 free entries (non-recreational or commercial) into any of the TMNP”s pay points: Cape of Good Hope (Cape Point); Boulders Penguin Colony, Oudekraal and Silvermine, as well as to the Tokai, Newlands and Perdekloof picnic areas. It is available to residents of Cape Town over the age of 18 years.
