The fields around Skilpad are gently stirring from their winter slumber, with the first signs of spring beginning to emerge. Although the landscape remains patchy in places, it already hints at the spectacular flower season that lies ahead.
In the Wildeperdehoek Pass area, the 4×4 eco-route is currently a breathtaking experience. Sweeps of orange, white, and yellow wildflowers line the trail, offering a visual feast for nature lovers and adventure seekers. It’s a must-see for anyone exploring the region.
Hiking trails at both Skilpad and Koeroebees are also coming into their own, providing panoramic views and a peaceful escape into nature – perfect for a day outdoors.
Even the coastal areas are beginning to bloom, a promising sign for the rest of the season. Visitors can expect a vibrant display of colors and floral diversity in the coming weeks.
Daytime temperatures are expected to remain above 20°C, accompanied by a fresh, easterly breeze. Light showers are forecast later in the week, which could further enhance blooming conditions.
