Update (as on 7 June 2018): Please note that the Park's shop and restaurant remains closed due to staff members not being able to go to work as a result of the strike in the surrounding citrus industry. We also request that prospective visitors rather make use of the Camp Matyholweni gate (Colchester) or Main Camp gate via Paterson – please avoid driving through the town of Addo. Our staff living inside the Park as well as some SANParks Honorary Rangers remain hands on in servicing visiting guests. Please bear with us. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Please note: Addo Elephant National Park's Main Gate is inaccessible to visitors via the town of Addo, due to protests by striking citrus farm workers. Visitors can access the Park via the Matyholweni Gate or the Main Gate via the town of Patterson.
