Addo Elephant National Park Main Gate inaccessible
Please be advised that the Addo Elephant National Park's Main Gate is currently inaccessible. A group of employees of Cattle Baron restaurant, dismissed last week, are burning tyres in protest at this entrance. Guests are advised to either enter through the gate at Camp Matyholweni near Colchester or the Nyathi Gate, which is about 5km further down the road from the Main Gate, towards Paterson. We apologise for the inconvenience.
The restaurant is operating as per normal, though, as the franchise holder has brought in staff from its other restaurants to service guests. Members from the SAPS are on the scene monitoring the situation.
