Shishangeni Lodge

Shishangeni Lodge is situated in a 15,000 ha private concession in the south-eastern section of the Kruger National Park.

The borders of the concession area are the perennial Crocodile River to the south and Mozambique in the east. Shishangeni lodge can accommodate 44 guests in 22 individual chalets, all luxuriously equipped with en-suite bathrooms, outside shower, air conditioning, telephone, mini-bar and timber deck. In addition to the main lodge guests can also book in one of the two fly camps.


Camp Shawu

With authentic buffalo dung walls, Camp Shawu paints a picture of the ‘real Africa’ described by famous explorers of colonial times. Private decks overlooking the Mpanamana Dam and beyond, present a masterpiece of an African landscape, weaved into which include many stories from a rich cultural heritage. The camp can accommodate 10 guests in 5 individual chalets, all luxuriously equipped with en-suite bathrooms, outside shower, ceiling fans, and timber deck. With an emphasis on walking trails, guests can experience a typical old-fashioned safari first-hand. When early mornings were fresh with the smell of a new day, and a sunset was reminiscent of days gone by.


Camp Shonga

Camp Shonga is a small intimate bush retreat built in the foothills of the Lebombo Mountains, offering views over the African bushveld as far as the eye can see. Camp Shonga shares the same ethos as Camp Shawu, but with the added emphasis of guests’ participation in select environmental awareness programmes. Although located in ‘Big 5’ terrain of the Kruger National Park, the objective of Camp Shonga is for guides to equally share their vast knowledge of the ‘little 5’ as well as the varying eco-systems with their guests, so ensuring an all-round safari experience. The camp can accommodate 10 guests in 5 individual tents, all luxuriously equipped with en-suite bathrooms, outside shower, ceiling fans, and timber deck.
