South African National Parks (SANParks) is pleased to announce the start of the 2025 wildflower season in West Coast National Park (WCNP). From 1 August to 30 September 2025, the Postberg section of the park will be open to the public – offering visitors a rare and unforgettable opportunity to experience the region’s seasonal blooms.
Please note that the Geelbek Restaurant is currently undergoing maintenance. To ensure guests are well catered for, food trucks will be stationed at the Geelbek precinct, Tsaarsbank, and Preekstoel areas of the park, offering a variety of food and refreshments.
The flower season annually peak around mid-August to mid-September. Visitors are also reminded that, to get the most out of the flower viewing experience and to steer clear from high traffic at the gates, visit the Park on sunny days and during the week.

09h00 to 17h00 (last entry at 16h30)
August: 07h00 to 18h00 (last entry at 17h30)
September: 07h00 to 19h00 (last entry at 18h30)
