South African National Parks (SANParks) is the proud recipient of a Silver Arrow Award which was officially presented on 17th November 2006 by the Professional Management Review (PMR).
The award ceremony for Johannesburg based companies, which was held in Bryanston north of Johannesburg is the annual highlight for state owned enterprises and semi-private listed companies in South Africa.
SANParks was rated highest in the category of “Highest Rated Overall” with an overall rating of 3.80 out of a possible 5.0. The South African conservation leader was also recognised in the categories of Good Governance and Management Skills with ratings of 3.48 and 3.49 respectively.
PMR conducts an annual survey of state owned enterprises and semi-private listed companies as perceived by peers among senior government officials at director level, senior management from business associates, analysts and economists from stock broking firms and financial institutions, as well as large corporations in South Africa.
Dr David Mabunda, Chief Executive of SANParks said, “I am very proud of our achievement, this is a well deserved recognition. These are results of good teamwork and a dedicated workforce, making a winning combination”.
