The South African National Parks (SANParks) Cape Region hosted its annual Regional Awards on 6 November 2025 at the Garden Court Nelson Mandela Boulevard, recognising the dedication, passion, and outstanding performance of staff members across the region.

The Regional Awards serve as a key moment on the SANParks calendar where individuals and teams who consistently demonstrate commitment to conservation, tourism, and service excellence within the organisation are honoured.

This year’s ceremony celebrated achievements across a range of categories, including Best Customer Service, Leadership Award, Overall Best Performer, Best Ranger Post, Best Performing Camp, Shield for Bravery Award, Best Performing Park, Excellent Performance in the Workplace, Lifetime Contribution Award, and the Regional General Manager Award, awarding 35 candidates.

Staff from various parks and operational units in the Cape Region gathered to recognise colleagues who embody SANParks’ core values of integrity, excellence, teamwork, and care for both people and the environment.

Through initiatives like the Regional Awards, SANParks continues to foster a culture of appreciation and motivation, ensuring that exceptional service and innovation remain at the heart of its operations.
