The South African National Parks (SANParks) Arid Region hosted its annual Regional Awards on 30 October 2025 at Mokala National Park, celebrating excellence, dedication, and teamwork among staff across the region.
The awards evening is one of the highlights on the SANParks calendar, providing a platform to recognise employees who have gone above and beyond in fulfilling the organisation’s conservation and tourism mandate.
A total of 48 Regional Achievement Awards were presented this year, acknowledging outstanding contributions in various categories, including Best Customer Service, Best Constituency Builder, Best Ranger Post, Best Performing Camp, Best Performing Park of the Year, Excellent Performance in the Workplace, Best Performing Division, Best Leadership Award, Lifetime Contribution Award, and Special Team Effort.
The event brought together representatives from parks across the Arid Region — including Kgalagadi, Augrabies Falls, Namaqua, and Mokala National Parks — celebrating the individuals and teams who continue to uphold SANParks’ values of integrity, excellence, and care for the environment and people.
The Regional Awards form part of SANParks’ broader employee recognition programme, which seeks to encourage a culture of performance, innovation, and community engagement throughout all its parks and operations.
