Plans to better the world-famous Outeniqua hiking trail

Now the first night will be spent in Windmeulnek hut instead of Beervlei.Beervlei will still remain the starting point for the Outeniqua Trail and hikers will still be able to park their vehicles there.

Although there are bookings for the Beervlei hut for this year up to November 2015, SANParks will honour all these commitments as they are already on its system.

The world-famous hike is well loved because it provides man enough time to be one with nature. There are plenty of opportunities to take in the picture-perfect mountains, indigenous forest and breath-taking ocean backdrops. Hikers need a certain level of fitness.
