Free Access to National Parks in the Cape Region during SA National Parks Week
South African National Parks (SANParks) will once again open its gates to South Africans during SA National Parks Week, taking place from 7 to 13 Sept...
This temporary closure is necessary due to repairs being done to the existing stairs and wooden walkways. To ensure public safety the access route to the beach has been closed for approximately three weeks as from 15 September 2014.
Given the surrounding steep cliffs and extreme landscapes there is currently no alternative route that can be provided for visitors to access the beach. It should however be noted that there will be no interruption to pedestrian traffic between Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point Parking Areas as the cliff top trail will remain open.
Thank you for understanding.
