It seems there is no stopping Fhumulani Sidney Mikosi, the man many have labelled the jungle encyclopaedia, as he has just increased his awards tally to 14. This happened at the South African National Parks (SANParks) kudu awards which were held at Gallagher Estates, Midrand on Friday night where he received the Special CEO Award.
The Kudu Awards are South African National Parks (SANParks) awards that take place every year to honour those individuals and organisations that are contributing positively in the conservation industry. This, usually go hand in hand with the CEO awards, where he (CEO, Mr Fundisile Mketeni) honours those individuals that make the Parks shine in every way possible.
This year has really been epic for this energetic man who is based at Marakele National Park as a head guide. Since he was nominated for the Limpopo Provincial Lilizela Awards, Sidney has been the talk of the nation after he scooped the national Lilizela Award as the Best Nature Guide in South Africa at an event held last month at Sandton Convention Centre.
“Yet another award in my pocket- I feel humbled more than anything and I hope to keep and uphold the standards of SANParks at all times”, said a beaming Sidney. Besides the Lilizela Awards, Sidney has in the past won several awards ranging from Excellent Performance in the workplace to Best Customer Service in the Workplace amongst others.
