Media Release: Rangers get an early Christmas for their dedication

This donation which is valued at R 750 000 is a token of appreciation for the work demonstrated by the KNP Rangers, especially in the fight against the Rhino poaching scourge.

“Imperial Retail Logistics is privileged to be associated with the Project for a second year running. We want to sincerely thank the SANParks Field Rangers for the hard work and dedication in protecting our Wildlife and specifically the Rhino Population. We furthermore want to thank the Honorary Rangers for the opportunity to participate in this valuable project.

It is also imperative to thank all our clients and suppliers for their valuable contribution towards this initiative. We are confident that the hampers will be a morale boost towards all in the war against rhino poaching. As Imperial Retail Logistics we are proud to be associated with this important initiative and salute all the individuals who are making a difference in the conservation and the protection for the Rhino population in South Africa” concluded Friedel Spies, Operations Director from IMPERIAL Retail Logistics.

“Rangers are a very important component of the organizations” staff compliment and a cornerstone for our biodiversity conservation efforts; which is to maintain the integrity of the national parks. With the rhino onslaught faced on daily basis in the Park, our goal is to continuously equip and look after the well-being of our Rangers. It is through the support of the South Africans, SANParks Honorary Rangers and partners such as IMPERIAL Retail Logistics, who rally behind our thin green line that we can fight this siege and boost that spirit of unity in the bush,” said General Johan Jooste, Officer Commanding of the KNP Special Projects in his response message.

Last year through the Honorary Rangers, IMPERIAL Retail Logistics donated the same gesture of goodwill to the KNP Rangers valued at R620 000.
