Media Release: Namaqua land Springs To Life

The Namaqua National Park is a developing conservation project that at this stage covers 50 000 hectares. It was officially opened on 4 August 1999 and aims to conserve the biodiversity of the succulent Karoo Biome.

Visitors to the Skilpad section can enjoy a 5 km circular drive, 2 short walking trails, picnic areas and ablution facilities.

The Park is open during August and September from 8:00 to 17:00 daily. Entrance Fees: R10.00 per person. Buses pay an additional R80.00.
