Media Release: Marakele National Park prices set to increase on 1 November 2017

South African National Parks (SANParks) yearly tariff increase kicks-in on Wednesday the 1st November 2017. Marakele National Park which is situated in Thabazimbi in Limpopo”s new rates will now be as follows:

  • Conservation fees for South African citizens will be R48 and R24 for adults and children respectively.
  • Conservation fees for SADC nationals is R96 and R48 for adults and children respectively.
  • Standard Conservation fees will be R192 and R96 for adults and children respectively.

Activities such as morning/sunset drives will be R260 p/p whilst guided walks will go up to R350 p/p from R325p/p in the current cycle. The park can be contacted on (014) 777-6929 to find out more about new accommodation tariffs.

SANParks charges 1% Community Levy on all reservations for accommodation and activities in order to fund projects that support the surrounding communities. These new fees are valid from 1 November 2017-31 October 2018.
