Up against stiff competition from other tourist destinations like KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape and various lodges, private game farms and holiday resorts, the Kruger National Park stand secured the prize for Top Destination 2003.
Judges comments included the overall attractiveness of the stand, the friendliness of the staff at the stand and comments from the general public resulted in the award going to Kruger.
“We are very proud to have achieved this distinction,” said Acting KNP director Mr Josias Chabani who also attended the show, “but will continue to strive for excellence in the tourism field.”
The Kruger National Park stand was designed and built by Barberton-based H+T Marketing.
