Media Release: KNP Rangers receive R250 000 worth of equipment

Donated by the Anti-Poaching and Ranger Services of the Honorary Rangers organisation, the equipment included desperately needed torches, tools, rifle slings, backpacks, camping and other outdoor equipment.

The Honorary Rangers raised the R250 000 needed and purchased the equipment according to “wish lists” from the rangers themselves.

“We were able to fulfil about 90% of the wishes of the rangers,” said Honorary Ranger Mr John Turner, “and you can continue to rely on our support.”

Northern district ranger Mr Louis Olivier officially thanked the Honorary Rangers on behalf of his colleagues.

“Today is like Christmas, only its in May. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your efforts and I, as a ranger, really appreciate your efforts,” he said
