Golden Gate Highlands National Park employees are excited as they get ready to welcome the delegates to the annual Clarens Beer Festival which takes place on 24 and 25 February 2017. This festival offers beer lovers a chance to sample a variety of beers under one roof and it promotes tourism in the eastern Free State.
“The eastern Free State has so many unique tourist attractions and festivals such as this one allow for an integrated marketing opportunity for the entire corridor thereby attracting people to this hidden gem in the country” said Victor Mokoena Regional Tourism and Marketing Manager Northern Cluster.
He further added that Golden Gate is a larger part of the Clarens Tourism sector since both entities vowed to endorse coopetition as a business model and as a result, the park supports these events at all times. “Every year we get busy during this weekend and we are happy that we will be hosting many delegates in our various establishments within the Park. Our people are ready to serve and make sure that all visitors leave with memorable experiences”. concluded Mokoena.
Golden Gate is situated about 20km outside Clarens, and has different accommodation options that people can book whilst attending the festival. This park, ideal for the entire family offers horse riding and unguided walking trails amongst others that can be booked at the reception.
