Visit the West Coast National Park”s Postberg Nature Reserve to observe this splendour. The reserve will be open from 1 August to 30 September 2001 between 09h00 to 17h00 daily. The remainder of the 30 000 hectare West Coast National Park is open from 07h00 to 19h30. The park is situated some 120km north of Cape Town along the R27.
Entrance fees to the park during the flower season are R16 for adults and R8 for children under 12.
Refreshments are available at the tea garden at Geelbek which is open daily during the flower season – 07:30 to 16:00 on week days and 09:00 to 16:00 on weekends and public holidays.
Experience the flowers up close on one of two hiking trails: The one-day 10km trail which costs R40 pp, or the twoday trail (13 km and 11 km) costing R75 pp. This trail has an overnight camp at Plankiesbaai.
