Media Release: Extension of closing date – Morula Kids Competition

The aim of the competition is to create an awareness of environmental issues among children, it also aims to encourage creativity and allow children to have an understanding of the national parks systems. Children are required to do a project of their choice, in any language that demonstrates Why we need national parks, it can either be a song, an essay, a poem, a model, a sculpture, a painting or all of the above, will be accepted.

The prizes are visits to national parks, so children get to experience the excitement and thrill of the wild for themselves.

Teachers can get entry forms and environmental education material in the August issue of The Teacher.

Posters and educational material and entry forms are also being distributed to schools neighboring all national parks via our social ecologists.

Schools that are interested in getting the educational material can do so by visiting our website www.parkssa.co.za forms can also be downloaded directly from this site.
