The South African National Parks (SANParks) has announced in a statement today that while in an intensified patrols in the various parts of the Kruger National Park (KNP) yesterday (Tuesday, 10 January 2012) rangers found eight (8) carcasses with their horns missing in two sections of the park.
This according to SANParks General Manager, Media Liaison & Stakeholder Relations, Reynold Thakhuli who said three (3) carcasses were found in Lower Sabie and five (5) in the Pretoriuskop section of the park.
Thakhuli said investigations are underway and already the members of the South African Police Services are working on few leads. “We call upon anyone with information to contact the nearby SAPS.”
