Media Release: Camdeboo National Park staff excel in First Aid Training course

Rosemary Scheepers (Senior People and Conservation Officer), Zimkhita Zungula (Assistant People and Conservation Officer) and Demitri Williams (Environmental Education Centre Supervisor) participated in the training course.

Johan Smit, their instructor and an assessor in Primary Emergency Care (PEC) presented the course on behalf of the South African First Aid League. Smit, who”s been teaching for more than forty years, said, “This group was one of the best I”ve trained in PEC in all my years. They were extremely enthusiastic about the course and it showed in their enjoyment thereof. They embraced the opportunity wholeheartedly and enjoyed every moment of the training. I can proudly say that on behalf of the SA First Aid League and its Chief Operating Officer, Josephine Wandrag, that we are proud to have them as part of our league.”

“This achievement from the staff proves that hard work and commitment makes everything possible. SANParks is proud to have such committed staff members and hope that more will follow this example,” said Acting Park Manager, Anban Padayachee.
