Media Release: Augrabies Falls National Park Sees Increase In Visitors

Visitors from all over South Africa came to experience the majestic wonder of the Augrabies Falls flowing over 2000 cubic metres per second (cumec).

This past weekend we broke a record with 467 overnight guests and 6 628 day visitors. The last time the Park was so full was during the flood of 2011. Although the Park overflowed with guests SANParks still adhered to all the Covid-19 regulations. This will have a huge positive impact on the local economy which is currently under strain due to the worldwide pandemic.

It is expected that the flow of the Orange River, which thunders down a 90-metre abyss and continues downstream for another 18 km will stay this way for the next week.

To experience this natural wonder, book online or email [email protected] and please note that we adhere to strict Covid-19 regulations. Day visitors do not need to book in advance.
