2007 is the third successful year for the annual SANParks Kudu and Chief Executive Awards. SANParks management continues to honour and celebrate contributions and achievements by staff and external stakeholders who play a significant role in the conservation of our biodiversity and cultural heritage.
The Kudu Awards is an initiative that aims at recognizing external stakeholders for their contribution and efforts in making South African National Parks the custodian of choice for the national parks system of South Africa.
Candidates for this external award can be nominated for the following categories:
The Chief Executive Awards aims at recognizing SANParks staff for their exceptional work performance and efforts in customer service within various categories. This year we have included a “Website Community Choice” award as an additional category for the Chief Executive Awards where a SANParks staff member can be nominated by the public on the SANParks Website Community based on positive experiences with this individual over the last year (April 2006 to end of March 2007).
A call for nominations for both award categories has already begun at a regional and national level and this will culminate in an award ceremony on 21st March 2007. Our esteemed panel of judges includes accomplished candidates in the conservation industry such as:
