Agulhas, Bontebok, Table Mountain, Tankwa and West Coast National Parks for the months of June and July will be offering a 20% discount on all accommodation and camping facilities (and Bontebok is raising the bar by offering a massive 40% discount!).

Experiencing national parks in winter is an unforgettable, unmatched experience where nature is at her best.

Think of roaring electric Karoo storms coupled with cozy indoor fires, a casual hike or stroll along the coast under a warm winter”s sun and the invigorating scent of lush vegetation in the crisp air. The following parks are offering extra specials packages to spice up your winter:

Table Mountain National Park

Get the kids exploring Cape Town”s own New7Wonder of Nature, with The Cableway”s “Kids Season” where children under the age of 18 years ride for free on the cableway with a parent return ticket, on weekends, public holidays and the June and September holidays.

Warm up your belly with a mid-morning escape up the Mountain to the Rhodes Memorial Restaurant and enjoy breakfast or lunch, overlooking the hopefully sunkissed skin of the City of Cape Town resting below. And for those not so sun-filled winter days, a cozy log fire will keep you warm enough to cuddle up and enjoy a glass of Gluewein wine on the house and a heartwarming soup of your choice once you”re settled in.

West Coast National Park

There”s no better excuse to visit the West Coast than to enjoy the newly designed breakfast and lunch menu at Geelbek Restaurant inside the West Coast National Park. Serenaded by the natural song of hundreds of birds, you can experience many mouth watering delicacies ranging from the boerebreakfast, omelettes, warming soups, Ostrich burgers, and not to forget a new and improved vegetarian menu.

Jo-Anne”s and Abramskraal cottages in the park offer a 20% discount, while the Duinepos chalets offer a special winter promotion for weekend and midweek getaways. During June and July, book a weekend stay and receive 50% off Saturday”s stay. For midweek madness, book a three night midweek stay and get two nights free (valid from Sunday – Thursday excluding long weekends and public holidays. These offers are valid until 31 July 2013.

Bontebok National Park

Bontebok National Park, just outside of Swellendam is offering guests a further 20% discount on accommodation…in addition to the 20% Wild Winter Special. There is no reason to not take advantage of the opportunity to spend a weekend on the banks of the Breede River. This means a total discount of 40% – an offer that cannot be passed up.
