Some visitors who are eager to participate in the free access week (i.e. SA National Parks Week) had to be turned back at some entrance gates of Kruger National Park due to entry quotas being met.
During SA National Parks Week, quotas of visitors are implemented to manage congestion. To avoid disappointments, we appeal to visitors to arrive early at the gate. This applies especially with the Kruger National Park.
The quotas are a critical management tool that ensures that the number of people allowed entry at any time remains manageable. In turn, this prevents overcrowding and instead ensures a positive experience for all visitors.
