Festive Season 2018 bookings still open and available
South African National Parks (SANParks) still has accommodation available for the 2018 Festive season at several National Parks around the country.
Reynold T Thakhuli, SANParks GM: Media, PR and Stakeholder Relations, says “there is still accommodation and camping available between 11 December 2018 and 7 January 2019 in our National Parks, and South Africans looking to secure a last minute booking for the holidays may consider diverse destinations such as Augrabies Falls, Bontebok, Marakele, Mapungubwe and Golden Gate Highlands National Park, or any of the 14 other Parks for their break away. Finding available space in your park of choice is easily achieved by using the real-time availability pages on the SANParks website. Consider spending family time in one of South Africa’s iconic National Park to relax, unwind and bond with nature.”
Each park has its own set of rules to conserve the fauna and flora as well as the guests. “We appeal to all visitors to maintain the rules and regulations of the respective park so that everyone can enjoy their holiday. The rules will be strictly enforced during the festive season. These include speeding, getting out of or protruding from vehicles and reckless driving. The feeding or intentional disturbance of wildlife is also a serious offence and will be dealt with swiftly. Fines are applicable to some transgressions.
