The latest Gauteng Shopping Centre display by the Honorary Rangers took place at Elardus Park Shopping Centre in Pretoria from Thursday 3rd to Saturday 5th of August. It was a tricky display as for the first time with the numerous shopping centre displays done in the past, the location was an outdoor one.

Part of this was down to the weather – the recent cold spell gripping the entire country meant that it was freezing for the on duty HRs and passers by were not as inclined to linger. A bigger problem was storing the equipment overnight.

However on the up side, several Junior Honorary Rangers from PTA region joined in the manning of the display. They did themselves proud and were very enthusiastic and willing. They got stuck into the public, answering questions and imparting information far beyond their years as if they had been doing this for ages.
