SANParks’ Community-Based Economic Inclusion Programme On Display
South African National Parks' (SANParks) economic inclusion interventions are on display today through the support of small-scale fishing communities ...
The aptly named “Akoerebis” or “place of great of noise” as it was described by the Khoi people is roaring with sound as the majestic Orange River cascades down the 56-metre high waterfall at an amazing 3532 cumec as recorded on 21 November 2022.
According to information received from the Department of Water and Sanitation, more water will be released and is expected to reach a peak from 4500 cubic metres per second during this week. The flow will stay this high for the next fourteen (14) days and then gradually decrease.
With these high water levels, it is safe to predict that The Augrabies Falls National Park will definitely be roaring with sound and a sight to behold for the whole festive season. So come and #LiveYourWild at our spectacular South African National Park in the Arid Region.
