You are hereby invited to take part in the Agulhas 20 years Birthday Bash Relay Race to commemorate 20 years of conservation at the Southernmost Tip.
On September 14 1998 SANParks purchased four ha of land at the Southernmost Point of the African continent to establish a national park. It was officially declared on 23 September 1999 in the Government Gazette as GN1135. Today the park stretches over 21 971.0161 ha of land.
