Visitor Tips
- Overnight visitors must check in during office hours (Mondays to Fridays from 07:30 to 18:00, Saturdays, Sundays and public Holidays from 09:00 to 17:00) at 214 Main Road, Agulhas (the last building on the right before the lighthouse).
- Guests arriving outside the normal business hours need to phone the park at least one (1) day prior to arrival. Telephone: +27 (0)28 435 6078
- The Cape Agulhas Lighthouse operates daily from 09:00 to 16:00, with the last climb to the top scheduled at 16:00. It’s important to be aware that the lighthouse may close unexpectedly if weather conditions pose a safety risk.
- Gravel roads provide access to Rhenosterkop Cottages and Bergplaas, and a vehicle with high clearance is necessary for safe passage.
- Only the main rest camp is equipped with a standby generator during periods of electricity outage. Rhenosterkop and Bergplaas accommodation units do not have alternative standby electricity available.
