Hand of God
This site, a 2-meter-high rock formation near Sendelingsdrift, is a geological feature, situated near the main road in the park, with erosion on the rock having created what looks like a hand. Local communities have named this boulder, where this feature is found, ‘Hand of God’, supposedly resembling a divine handprint. It is understood that this geological feature arose from the period when God pressed his hand against the boulder, leaving the handprint. The site is associated with myths from local communities, who believe this hand is that of God. They used to come to the boulder for prayers, an act that is still ongoing to this day.
