Free Access to National Parks in the Cape Region during SA National Parks Week
South African National Parks (SANParks) will once again open its gates to South Africans during SA National Parks Week, taking place from 7 to 13 Sept...
According to Marakele National Parks, Communications Officer, Cassius Selala, the Marakele National Park is situated some 14 kilometres outside Thabazimbi which is in Limpopo Province.
According to Selala the park has been in-undated with calls from concerned locals about a roaming Leopard spotted in the Britz area. “However people need to be aware of the law that governs the National Parks – the National Environmental Management Act which states that any wild animal roaming areas outside a protected area or a national park becomes a responsibility of the Provincial Environmental Affairs authorities.”
