Update on HOSPERSA March (11/07/2007)
In a march held by HOSPERSA members to the Kruger National Park today 11 July 2007, a union representative, Mr Dev Naidoo, announced that the striking members will be going back to work on Friday, 13 July 2007.
Responding to the announcement, Dr David Mabunda, Chief Executive of SANParks said, “We are glad to hear that the union leadership has made this decision. The approach they had taken would not resolve anything but hurt its members instead.”
“We hope that now HOSPERSA will engage with management more constructively as well as work on building its membership.”
SANParks will maintain its decision of not negotiating with any grouping but the majority union of the organisation.
