Media Release:Kruger Ready for Holidaymakers
Reconstruction after the floods earlier this year, is almost complete and the Park is ready for the expected rush of holidaymakers.
The popular Skukuza Restaurant, which was wiped out by the floods in February, has now reopened and boasts a new and exciting menu. The ethnic décor and the excellent service will make your holiday in Kruger a memorable one. There are plans to convert the Selati Train, in which the temporary restaurant was housed, into a pub.
Day visitors are reminded that the festive period is a period during which Kruger National Park, in keeping with sound nature conservation, applies a quota system to the number of vehicles that can be allowed entry at each of the Park”s eight gates.
This year the quota is as follows:

To avoid the risk of being turned away, day visitors can either phone a particular gate to make a booking to enter the Park through that gate, or just start early as gates open at 5am every day.
The quota system does NOT apply to overnight visitors.
