The festival was a resounding success, integrating good food and wine, education and the protection of our natural heritage! Just over 5200 people visited the show over the three days and we are confident that 2016 will be an even greater success.

The much-anticipated wine festival kicked off with a Grape Stomping on Thursday, 30 April “15.
Guests knee-deep in barrels of grapes enjoyed champagne and wine by L”Avenir Wine farm and fresh honest food offerings prepared by the chefs of Leriba Hotel and Spa.During this event Skip Scheepers auctioned off various prizes and hampers of which funds have been donated to SANParks Honorary Rangers [R32 500], CANSA [R3 585] and the Endangered Wildlife Trust [R12 500]. Bringing the total raised to R48 585, Griesel Nel Auditors administered these funds. We are proud to welcome them on board for the 2016 Harvest Festival again.
The interactive cooking shows had mouths watering, with demonstrations by the South African Chefs Association, Prue Leith and Capital Hotel School as well as Johan Badenhorst, presenter and producer of Voetspore. The 2016 festival will showcase students from High Schools in Gauteng as well.
The various Tourism Institutions/agency such Tshwane Tourism Association and American Express Travel showcased their various tourism attractions. Exclusive books and youth organizations also exhibited at the festival. All security aspects were handled with professional efficiency by Bidvest Protea Coin.

The Harvest Festival is an annual event and the date for 2016 is 30 April – 2 May 2016.
