Chapman’s Peak Drive fire contained
A fire that broke out along Chapman’s Peak just before the lookout point near the toll gate has been contained. Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) dispatched ground firefighting crews and aerial resources that resulted in successful containment of the fire.
The City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services are also on the scene with mop up operations set to continue into Sunday, 01 December 2024.
South African National Parks extends its gratitude to the public for cooperation which enabled containment of the without any incidents.
