12 things you didn’t know about the Karoo National Park

  • Did you know that the Great Karoo has the richest diversity of desert flora in the world and the largest variety of succulents found anywhere on earth.
  • Did you know that there are over 9000 species of plants in the region – more species than the whole of Great Brittain.
  • Did you know that the endangered star tree, Cliffortia arborea which is on the red data list is found in the park
  • Did you know that the 4×4 trail in the park was the first of its kind in SANParks.
