SA National Parks Week 2025

  • Date: 22 September 2025 – 28 September 2025

During the week, all South African citizens are allowed to enter national parks for free for a day visit.

SA National Parks Week free access does not include free access to accommodation or other paid activities within the parks. It grants free entry to national parks for day visitors only.

SA National Parks Week, typically held in September, offers free access to most of the 21 national parks for day visitors. This initiative aims to encourage South Africans to explore their natural heritage and foster a sense of ownership. However, this free access is specifically for day visits.

Bring your South African ID book or card to explore your heritage.
