Only those tenderers who are registered with the CIDB for a 6SQ or higher class of construction work, are eligible to submit tenders. Tenderers are required to score a minimum of 17 points out of a possible 24 points for previous Construction experience in electrified predator-proof game fence (maximum 12 points) and Technical Expertise (maximum 12 points).

How To Apply
Briefing Session
A compulsory clarification meeting with representatives of the Employer will take place at the Mapungubwe Interpretive Centre, Mapungubwe National Park on 26 March 2026 starting at 11:00. A 15-minute grace period will be allowed, after which no one will be allowed to enter the session after 11:15, and this will not stop the briefing session from starting at 11:00. It is your responsibility to travel to the park timeously.
Tender documents will be available for sale from 10:00 – 11:00 on a first-come-first-serve basis before the compulsory briefing session. Should you not be able to procure a tender document before the start of the compulsory briefing session, time will be allowed after the briefing session and site visit for such. Please note that the Tender Briefing Meeting Certificate in the tender document will only be signed after the site visit which forms part of the compulsory briefing session.
The tenderer must be represented at the site inspection by a person who is suitably qualified and experienced to comprehend the implications of the work involved. Attendance of the site inspection is compulsory, and a tender will be disqualified if the site inspection is not attended by a representative of the tenderer.
Bid Submission
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued at the site clarification meeting and fully completed in writing legibly in non-erasable black ink and signed where required. Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
Tenders in sealed envelopes marked clearly with the identification details: “CONTRACT CI-GK-0185-A: THE CONSTRUCTION OF 83KM PARK PERIMETER FENCE, MAPUNGUBWE NATIONAL PARK” must be deposited ONLY in the tender box at the West Coast Park Management Offices Boardroom, 2 Main Road, Langebaan on or before the stated closing date and time.
Only a hard copy of the tender document will be accepted and is to be deposited in the Tender Box at the SANParks Technical Services offices. E-mail and late tenders will not be accepted.
