Research Focus and Interest

My research focus is on vegetation and restoration ecology with particular interest on how ecosystem-based initiatives restore and rehabilitate degraded systems and their wider landscapes by mimicking ecological complexity and unpredictability they once had, yet at the same time ensure the reliable provision of services (including goods and commodities). The research focus has important implications for management and policy development in conservation.
