Research Focus and Interest
My research seeks to provide information on the interactions between the biotic and abiotic dependencies and how they influence species distributions across space and time with a specific focus on freshwater ecosystems. I focus on both native and non-native species. I use comparative functional responses analysis to elucidate resource utilization by individual species and further identify the drivers of resource utilization. I am particularly interested in understanding predator-prey dynamics and how to reduce or mitigate the negative impacts of aquatic invaders. I have a keen interest in the development of inland fisheries through data-driven research to promote sustainable use and management.
