SANParks Research Report 2021/2022

The report showcases a diversity of species and ecosystems monitored and studied in different biomes, from small pollinators to apex marine predators, animal diseases to critically endangered plants, freshwater invertebrates to invasive aliens and soil microbes to terrestrial megaherbivores.
This is alongside an increasing diversity of social-ecological systems research and transdisciplinary enquiry, including opportunities and mechanisms for benefit-sharing, tourism recovery, behaviour and entry fee structures, cultural tourism and archaeological heritage research, adaptive planning and ongoing learning at individual, institutional and/or focus group level.
