The Skukuza Scientific Services Laboratory provides laboratory space for students, researchers and staff conducting studies within the Kruger National Park. A clean and safe workplace for laboratory sample processing is available, and various equipment for analytical and biological research provided. The laboratory is furnished with safety and protective equipment including a bio-safety cabinet, fume hood, emergency shower and eye wash stations.
The general laboratory is used for various biological assays including blood and tissue. it is furnished with the following equipment:

The laboratory is open from 07:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.
Special arrangements can be made with the laboratory technician for access on weekends or after working hours.
Please book 2 weeks in advance.
A daily fee of R70.00 is charged for use of the laboratory. Tests, breakages, losses or damage to equipment will be charged separately.
